WHAT IS BREAKOUT EDU? BreakoutEDU takes the appeal of the "escape room," a recreational team sport in which a group of people use their wits to break out of a locked room, and turns it inside out. Instead of a locked room, teams must figure out how to unlock a series of various types of locks using their prior knowledge, investigation and research skills.

HOW WILL BREAKOUT EDU BE DONE AT UTECH17? Teams of 5 will be required to sign up for a time slot prior to the date of the conference or the morning of. On the assigned day, teams must report to the BreakoutEDU area at least 5 minutes prior to their scheduled time. Each team will have 20 minutes to complete the task.

RULES: -Teams must consist of 5 conference participants. -Only 1 member of the team should sign-up for a time slot. If you sign-up without a team, make sure to find 4 other people to play with you PRIOR to your scheduled time. -Teams are encouraged to sign-up for a time slot prior to the conference but the sign-up form will remain open either until the end of the conference or until all slots are taken. -Teams must report to the BreakoutEDU area at least 5 minutes prior to their scheduled start time. -You will be asked to leave your devices and belongings in a corner of the play area. -HAVE FUN!
