Evelyn Trevino

Evelyn Trevino is a senior at Jimmy Carter Early College High School. She is the

daughter of Alfredo and Brenda Trevino, teachers at La Joya I.S.D.

Evelyn is graduating Top of her class with an Associate's Degree in Interdisciplinary

Studies with a focus on Science. Evelyn is involved with academic organizations such as Student Council, Mu Alpha Theta, and National Honor Society as well as community organizations such as The Hispanic Women’s Network of Texas, the Our Lady of Guadalupe Church Group, and she is currently staffing for the National Hispanic Institute Rio Grande Valley association. Since her early adolescence, Evelyn has shown a great interest in the STEM field, much of her projects being showcased at the Texas Science and Engineering Fair. Next Fall, Evelyn will continue this passion at Texas A&M University where she plans to major in Chemical Engineering.
