Community Events
The Region One STEM Center is committed to offering a range of services for school districts that include STEM community-based learning events. The STEM Center hosts regional STEM community events in partnership with school districts, higher education institutions, workforce, industry, and other community-based organizations.
Project Objectives
To provide a safe space for family-based exploration and learning with concrete STEM related activities, technologies, and programs
To support and foster STEM awareness among communities towards STEM Education and STEM Career Pathways
To build, strengthen and leverage cross-sector partnerships via collective impact regional efforts.
Benefits to Communities Events
By hosting cross-sector STEM community events, the STEM center strives to:
provide a free, low-stakes, open environment for exploration, information, and experiences in STEM,
promote equitable access to learning programs, resources, and facilities to support college and career readiness and STEM career pathways,
expose students, teachers, and K-12 communities to emerging technologies, and
inspire the next generation of innovators and creative problems-solvers.
