We accept poetry, short stories, nonfiction, lyrics, drawings, paintings, digital art, photography, and book reviews. See below for any specific requirements for types of submissions.

Poetry

• Must be submitted as a Doc, preferably a Google Doc. 

  • PDFs will be rejected.

• If you play with the white space on the page, your Google Doc needs to be formatted as 5.5x8.5 (statement) with these margins:

  • Top: 0.5

  • Bottom: 0.5

  • Left: 0.75

  • Right: 0.5

• If you do not follow those margins, then your formatting and spacing may have to be changed. 

Short Stories and Nonfiction

• Must be submitted as a Doc, preferably a Google Doc.

  • PDFs will be rejected. 

• Limit of 5 pages in 12 pt font, double-spaced

Book Reviews

• Must be submitted as a Doc, preferably a Google Doc.

  • PDFs will be rejected

• Reviewed books must be readily available in either the North Library or the district's E-Book database, Sora. 

Art

• Must be submitted as either a JPEG, JPG, or PNG.

  • PDFs and Images pasted on Google Docs will not be accepted for art.

• For drawings, please submit them on plain paper, not lined.

• If possible, scan your art. If you cannot scan, take a clear photo with no glare, and a flat image.
