As part of the planned visits, the students were at the high school in Barcelós, as well as on several educational visits to the surrounding cities: Porto, Braga, Apulia, Esposende, Viana do Castello, Ponte de Lima.
The students got acquainted with the culture, history and way of life in the northern region of Portugal, and the strongest impression was the second largest city in the country - Porto. Driving along the Duro River, as well as visiting a winery and other interesting facilities along the banks of the river were very useful for the students.
One of the interesting activities during the stay was a visit to the Museum of Ceramics in Barcelós, where the students showed an enviable interest in this artistic expression, and they also got the opportunity to paint their ceramic tile inspired by Portugal.
Professional internships took place in different locations, depending on the profession. The students of the chef and catering technician stayed in catering establishments, and the students of the economic technician, financial and business administrator did an internship at the high school in Barcelos.
Through this professional practice, the students noticed similarities and differences in the functioning of companies and institutions in Portugal and Serbia. The importance of professional practice is, among other things, cultural and any other tolerance as the goal of creating a healthy civil society.
