Redwood Dance Force Team
Performing to Bang, Bang(arranged by Ishbah Cox)
Video editing by Bill Henshaw, RHS Digital Media Teacher
Choreography by Michele Lapp
"Redwood offers 10 sections of dance under the direction of Mrs. Lapp & Mrs. Bardonnex; the Dance Force team being the most advanced. This dance is normally performed at the football halftime shows but this year it was featured in our Virtual Winter Showcase which was released in December. Normally the Ranger Marching Band plays the music live as the dancers perform, but unfortunately this yearwe had to use a pre-recorded track of the music selection of Bang, Bang arranged by Ishbah Cox (Hal Leonard Corporation, jwpepper.com). Mr. Bill Henshaw, RHS Digital Media Teacher, recorded and edited the video for the team. The dance was choreographed by Mrs. Lapp, who has been directing the team at Redwood for 21 years. Dancing in the football halftime shows is such an exhilarating experience for the team, it just didn't seem right not to continue the tradition of learning the dance. (All VUSD COVID-19 Guidelines were followed while creating this performance.)"

Jig from the St. Paul's Suite by Gustav Holst
Video Produced by Whitney Mitchell, Redwood High School Senior
"We made several of these videos in the Fall of 2020, but this one is unique because a student, Whitney Mitchell, did all the work putting together the video. She is a senior and is in both orchestra and video class. She spent many hours, on her own free time, working on this project and I am proud and thankful she was willing to take on such a daunting task. Way to go Whitney!"
