"The collection of artwork below was created by Divisadero Middle School 8th grader Amy Arugello. A Celebration of Life is an event in clay which the students were encouraged to use a homemade dough recipe provided by the Fine Art teacher, Mrs. Yoder, to cook in their kitchen. Amy chose the cultural event of music and costumes. She used the extra dough to mold a self-portrait in the round. Amy went above and beyond on this clay project which shows her focus on the details, her ability and her patience. Next, is the Twelve Things about Me with an emphasis on the name of artist, Amy. Then her rendition of a Roman relief using cardboard to capture perspective as we admire the Koi in her pond. Lastly, is her grid portrait of the rapper Tupac."
