School

I graduated from Lake Superior State University in 2009 with my BS in Math. 

I went back to school in 2014 to achieve my Masters in Curriculum from MSU in 2016. GO GREEN!

Career

I have been teaching since 2010, so this year will be my 15th school year. I started in an arts-integrated charter school in Petoskey, where I learned how to reach many different learning styles, and why you will notice a lot of my projects are arts-based. After two years there I went to North Carolina for a year and taught in Greensboro, the state's 3rd largest city. I am very family-oriented however, so being that far away did not work for me. After returning to Michigan I taught in Cadillac for 8 years, teaching both at the middle school and high school levels. I also coached JV softball.

I started at Cherryland Middle School in 2021. I absolutely love being an Elk! 

Family

My husband, Scott, and I got married in 2020. Our beautiful daughter, Melody, was born in 2021, and Millie followed in 2023.

We have two very spoiled pets, Anubis (dog) and Thor (cat).
