Summer Math
Students are invited to choose from the following options:
1. Khan Academy
Khan Academy offers free, self-paced online lessons and exercises that align with grade-level math standards. Students can log in with their school Google accounts (https://www.khanacademy.org/math/get-ready-courses) and choose the course they will be entering for the next school year.
2. Governor’s Math Challenge
This statewide challenge encourages students to complete a series of math problems and earn certificates for their progress. It’s a fun way to stay motivated and engage in a bit of friendly competition. More information will be shared on how to sign up and track progress. 3. The Big 5 Summer Work Packets
The “Big 5 Use it or Lose it” summer work includes skills carefully picked by your future math teacher that are essential to success in the upcoming school year. The skills reviewed in the “Big 5” are concepts that you have been taught and practiced throughout this past school year. An electronic copy of the “Big 5” summer work can be found here.
