ER9 Welcomes Staff to 2026-2027 School Year
JRMS staff kicked off the week with breakfast in the courtyard—because everything feels a little more manageable when the week starts with coffee, good food, and great company.
JRMS staff jumped into Day 1 of training with Mr. Geissler, who kicked things off with a round of Three Truths and a Lie. Nothing like starting the year by figuring out just how well we really know our new principal.
JRMS staff put their teamwork skills to the test with some team-building challenges. Mr. Ball clearly understood the assignment, taking the opportunity to build the tallest tower—and maybe earn a few bragging rights along the way.
Teachers selected a quote about rigor that resonated with them and reflected on what it means for teaching and learning. A little inspiration before we roll up our sleeves and put rigor into practice.
We attended Convocation at JBHS, joining colleagues from across ER9 to come together as a district community, celebrate the start of a new school year, and look ahead to the year ahead.
Superintendent Dr. McKinnon addressed all of ER9, welcoming staff back and sharing an inspiring message as we came together to kick off the 2026–2027 school year.
Dr. Matthew Worwood served as our Convocation speaker, sharing an engaging message that encouraged staff to think about creativity, innovation, and the important role educators play in preparing students for an ever-changing world.

JRMS PROGRAM OF STUDIES
The JRMS Program of Studies is a helpful resource for families who would like to learn more about the courses listed on their child’s schedule. It provides course descriptions and an overview of what students can expect to learn and experience in each class. We encourage families to use this guide to become familiar with their child’s courses and better understand their academic program for the year.
