JRMS Welcomes New Teachers

Ms. Shannon King

Grade 7/8 Special Education

Please join us in welcoming Ms. Shannon King to JRMS. Shannon fills the new role of our Grade 7 & 8 Special Education Teacher. Shannon previously worked at East Ridge Middle School in Ridgefield. We are excited to have her, and she will be located on the 2nd floor.

Ms. Erin Steimle

Grade 8 Math & Algebra

Please join us in welcoming Ms. Erin Steimle to JRMS. Erin fills the Grade 8 Math & Algebra position. Erin previously worked at The Pinnacle School as a Math Teacher and Department Head. We are thrilled to have her, and she will also be located on the 2nd floor.

JRMS PROGRAM OF STUDIES

The JRMS Program of Studies is a helpful resource for families who would like to learn more about the courses listed on their child’s schedule. It provides course descriptions and an overview of what students can expect to learn and experience in each class. We encourage families to use this guide to become familiar with their child’s courses and better understand their academic program for the year.

We are so proud to announce that John Read Middle School PTA achieved the 2025-2027 National PTA School of Excellence designation for their work in the 2025-2026 school year to create an environment where families feel welcomed, included, and empowered to support their children’s success. BEFORE SCHOOL PROGRAM

JRMS offers an early morning drop-off program beginning at 7:30 am for a fee. If interested, please complete the Morning Supervision Program Form.

Parents may drop off students beginning at 8:00 am free of charge.

Please drop off all students at the cafeteria entrance on the south side of the building. Unless attending a before-school club, students are expected to remain in the cafeteria until the first bell.
