Grades 6-8

Updated for 2023-2024

Your student in 6th, 7th and 8th grade is developmentally ready for more reflection, problem-solving, and critical thinking. The curriculum is challenging, exploratory, and integrative. It is designed to provide more opportunities for students to take responsibility for their own learning and make positive contributions to the world around them. Student social and emotional health and wellness is supported by a positive school climate and related policies.  Varied and ongoing district-created and state assessments help to measure and advance student learning. In each one of our 6-8 classes, educators are specifically prepared with both a deep understanding of the content area and a depth of knowledge about how best to teach young adolescents. Our ER9 6th, 7th, and 8th-grade students thrive in an atmosphere of engagement, relevance, and responsiveness that cultivates high expectations for every learner.
