Welcome to the ER9 Elementary Curriculum Portal! We believe that clear communication builds strong partnerships, which is why we want to share a look at how your child's learning is structured from kindergarten through fifth grade. Across our Easton and Redding elementary schools, our units are designed using a framework called Understanding by Design (UbD). Think of it as "backward design"—our teachers start by identifying the ultimate learning goals, then plan the lessons that help our youngest learners get there.

Included in our website is the parent guides and stage 1 of the UBD template, which break down each elementary unit. "Stage 1" simply means the big picture: the main ideas, essential questions, and necessary skills your child will explore. We invite you to dive into these guides to see the exciting themes and foundational milestones your K–5 student will experience in the classroom this year!
