A hugh congratulations to our junior badminton team who won the Scottish National Badminton tournament in Perth to become Scottish Champions.
Well done to the senior team of Cameron (S6), Finlay (S6), Glen (S5) and Innes (S6) who won the Scottish Schools senior boys title for the second year running and remain Scottish Champions!
Congratulations to the open Williamwood Cheerleading team who won the East Renfrewshire Dance Championships for the second year running. Our talented young people placed first across both categories of commercial and cheer.
Congratulations to our S1/2 Girls football teams who represented Williamwood High School at the National SPAR football tournament at Broadwood Stadium.
Well done to our S6 Sports Development class who have organised a very successful transition event for our cluster primary pupils. All of the pupils had a great day and are extremely excited to start at Williamwood High School.
Well done to our S5 Sports Development pupils who planned, organised and delivered a successful multi-sports tournament for our S1 pupils. All of the pupils thoroughly enjoyed the experience and well done to all of the teams that took part!
A huge well done to our junior and senior teams who placed first at the 2023 East Renfrewshire badminton tournament.
This year we had the return of the Williamwood High School Winter Ceilidh. Our Junior and Senior pupils had a great time taking part in traditional Scottish dances mixed with some modern disco.
Congratulation to all of our S4,S5 and S6 pupils who were successful in achieving their 2021/22 Bronze and Silver Duke of Edinburgh Award.
We celebrated Active Girls Day to inspire our pupils to be more physically active, educating them on the benefits, instilling confidence and reducing the gap and female dropout rate in sport. This year involved a Halloween Clubersize & Dance Session with our S3 girls.
The PE Department organised 'The Wall' fundraiser in September. This involved all S1 & 2 pupils receiving sponsorship to complete an inflatable assault course which raised over 8 thousand pounds for our school fund! Well done to everyone that helped raise this incredible amount of money to help enhance experiences in our school!
Congratulations to our Open Netball team who beat St Ninian's High School to get through into the next round of the Scottish Cup!
Well done to all pupils that took part in the World Cup football tournament which was organised by our S6 Sports Depute, Kiara and the Sports Prefects!
