A happy and safe school, providing rich learning opportunities, where everyone is treated with respect and kindness.

Welcome from Mr McLachlan

Welcome to Carolside Campus. Whether you are already connected to the school community, or new to Carolside, I hope that our website offers you some helpful information about our school.

At Carolside Campus we have a mainstream primary school, consisting of 22 primary classes; a mainstream nursery class, with capacity for around 80 ante-preschool and preschool children; and a Communication Service, which includes our Pre-School Assessment and Development Unit (PSADU). Our Communication Service meets the needs of young people with complex Additional Support Needs from across the local authority area.

Our school community is one that places a high emphasis on the quality of relationships, which help us to create a positive ethos across the whole campus. This, allied to a strong emphasis on the quality of children’s learning experiences, offers our children the rich learning opportunities that it is our ambition to provide. Over recent years, we have developed a strong focus on progressive approaches to learning and teaching, with the voice of our pupils at the heart of our school. To find out more about what this looks like each day we recommend that you visit our feed on X, where you will find lots of updates from across the school and nursery.

We are very fortunate to benefit from wide support from our families, and our Parent Council and Parent Teacher Association offer you the chance to become more actively involved in the life and work of the school, should this be of interest to you.

We hope that you will find Carolside to be a warm and welcoming school. Please do not hesitate to be in touch if you have any questions, or would like to know more about the work we do each day.
