Absences & Birthdays

Absences:

* Please email BOTH Mrs. Greve in the office, and the classroom teacher if your child will be absent at any time. This includes illness, early dismissals, late arrivals, appointments, vacations, etc.

* Advanced notice for absences is always preferred in order for teachers to plan and assist your child the best way possible.

* To ensure the safety of all, any dismissal/transportation changes must be communicated with your child’s teacher before dismissal. An e-mail is appreciated in the morning and if it is a last minute change in the afternoon please call the office to ensure we get the message.

Birthdays:

* Due to the number and scope of food allergies among students at West Bay, our school policy is to celebrate without edible treats. Your child may bring non-edible treats to share on his/her birthday or ½ birthday if desired. If you are planning a birthday party outside of school, please do not distribute invitations at school.
