Molly Gonring earned both her Bachelor’s and Master's degrees in Music Education from the University of Nebraska- Lincoln. She has a second Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Peru State College.
Molly spent her first three years teaching for Millard Public Schools teaching K-5 general music and directing show choir.
Molly is now in her tenth year at Elkhorn South High School teaching Vocal Music. At ESHS she co-teaches all the curricular choirs, directs Shock Wave (varsity treble show choir), co-directs Blackout (varsity mixed show choir), and the Spring Musical. She was honored to receive the Elkhorn Public Schools Foundation 2018 Golden Apple Teacher of the Year. In her free time she enjoys hanging out with her family Pete (best husband), Graham (all-star son), and Jordy (greatest dog).
Maddie Riva is excited to be a part of the vocal music team at Elkhorn South. She previously taught for Bennington and Millard teaching general and vocal music and directing show choirs. Maddie co-teaches all the curricular choirs, directs Power Surge (prep mixed show choir), co-directs Blackout (varsity mixed show choir), and the Spring Musical.
She received her Bachelor's in Music Education from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and her Master's in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Kansas. When she is not teaching she enjoys traveling, going to coffee shops, and spending time with her husband James and their mini aussie Stevie!
Crystal Asmussen is in her tenth year at Elkhorn South High School. For the previous three years, she was the accompanist at Elkhorn Valley View Middle School. She received her B.M. in music theory at the University of Kansas, where she studied piano and organ, played horn for various bands, and accompanied vocal students. She continued her music studies at the Eastman School of Music, where she received her M.A. in music theory. While there, she worked as a teaching assistant for the undergraduate theory curriculum and taught a summer course on the history of rock. In addition to accompanying the choirs at Elkhorn South, Crystal also teaches private piano lessons, accompanies choirs and worship services at her church, and sings with the Omaha Symphonic Chorus.
