Bilateral Coordination
What is Bilateral Coordination?
It is the ability to use both sides of your body at the same time with coordination.
Activities that require us to cross the mid-line of our body utilize both sides of the brain at the same time.
Why is Bilateral Coordination Needed?
It is needed for everyday activities such as zipping, buttoning putting on socks/shoes, shoe tying and handwriting.
These activities will also help build upper extremity strength needed for many school related and daily living tasks.
