Unified Basketball Team

The Kent Heights Elementary Unified Basketball team is an inclusive group of students who come together to learn and play basketball in a supportive, team-centered environment. The team focuses on building fundamental skills, cooperation, and sportsmanship while fostering friendships and a strong sense of belonging. Through practices and games, students are encouraged to participate at their own level, support one another, and develop confidence, making the experience centered on enjoyment, inclusion, and personal growth rather than competition.

Unified Cheerleading Team

The Kent Heights Unified Cheerleading Team is an inclusive group of students who work together to promote school spirit, teamwork, and a sense of belonging. Through learning simple chants, motions, and routines, students participate at their own level with appropriate supports, ensuring everyone has a meaningful role. The team emphasizes encouragement, friendship, and confidence-building, creating a positive environment where all students feel valued and connected while celebrating their school community.

Kindness Crew

The Kindness Crew is dedicated to promoting a positive, inclusive, and respectful school culture through acts of kindness and service. Students meet once a month to participate in the planned activities as pairs. Students work together to plan and participate in activities such as kindness campaigns, peer support initiatives, and community projects that encourage empathy and respect. The group fosters leadership, teamwork, and social-emotional growth, empowering students to take an active role in creating a welcoming school culture where everyone feels valued and supported.

Boys and Girls Club

A supportive, engaging space where students can participate in structured activities that promote academic growth, social development, and positive relationships. Through a variety of programs such as homework help, recreational games, arts and crafts, and team-building activities, students build confidence, responsibility, and cooperation skills. The club provides a safe and inclusive environment where all children feel welcomed, encouraged, and empowered to explore their interests while developing a strong sense of belonging.
