Welcome to East Providence High School!  


For over one-hundred years, East Providence High School in Rhode Island has produced the highest caliber of scholars and citizens. Today, EPHS upholds this tradition of excellence and maintains a strong sense of community. We strive to move forward in this changing world and meet the challenges of the Twenty-First century. 


Mission Statement


The mission of East Providence High School is to provide meaningful learning experiences that will prepare students for post-secondary opportunities and establish a community where all individuals become empowered to be life-long learners and responsible, productive, engaged citizens.


 The vision of East Providence High School is to have every student achieve at his or her maximum potential in an engaging, inspiring and challenging learning environment which encourages all learners to believe in their power to embrace learning, excel and own their future.

Picture day for staff and students will be on 

SEPTEMBER 28TH AND 29TH.


On September 28th all students enrolled in PE or Health periods 1-4 will already be in the gym and will get their pictures taken. Also, students who are NOT in PE/Health for the first quarter but whose last names begin with letters A-L will be called down to the gym to take pictures. All staff will take school pictures on September 28th.


On September 29th, all students enrolled in PE or Health periods 5, 6 and 7 will already be in the gym during their class and get their pictures taken. Also, students who are NOT in PE/Health for the first quarter but last names begin with letters M-Z will be called down to the gym to take pictures.

School photos will be held on September 28 and September 29 (See Schedule ABOVE)

If you would like to order your photos online, please see the attached flyer for the website. Physical flyers can be picked up in the main office if you'd like to purchase via cash/check/money order.


Make ups will be held on October 30th during the school day.

Senior Portraits - Upcoming portraits dates are October 16 - October 19 from 2:00pm - 8:00pm. If you'd like to be in the yearbook, please sign up for a senior portrait session HERE. You are under no obligation to purchase anything so if you select the $25 session, you will receive a refund after you return your proofs. If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Chapman. 

Studnet Council - PSAT/NMSQT

1.  The student council will have an organizational meeting on Monday October 18 at 1:45 in room 325.  Any student interested in school government is encouraged to attend.  See Mr. Silva in the school counseling office if you have any questions.


2.  The PSAT/NMSQT will be administered here at EPHS on Saturday October 14 at 7:30am.  This is the only time that this test will be administered and students must participate in testing in order to qualify for the National Merit Scholarship Program.  Register HERE for the PSAT/NMSQT.  The cost of the exam is $30 and should be paid to Mr. Silva in the school counseling office by Friday, September 29th.
