Q: Will there be photos or recordings taken at the event?
A: Yes. Please expect that pictures will be taken at the STEM Experience and may be posted to the WP Wagner Website (the host school) or used in other communications or promotions about our STEM Program. If you would prefer your face to be left out of images please ask for a no-photo wristband at registration & be sure to wear it clearly throughout the day.
Q: Will I get the session that I want?
A: Although we cannot guarantee sufficient space in the schedule for every participant to secure their first choice, completing the preferences form by the February 14 deadline ensures we will make every effort to accommodate one of your top picks. Anyone who is registered for the event by this time will still get a spot that is available.
Q: Can I bring my own digital device to use?
A: You will not need to bring your own digital device, any activites where one is required one will be provided for you. Please note that this is a day of learning, so if you must bring a cell phone it is to remain turned off and stowed out of sight during all learning activties.
Q: What should I wear?
A: Be prepared for an active day. Typical school-appropriate clothes with comfortable (fitted and not loose clothing), and closed toe shoes is the best choice. Any specific personal protective equipment required for the different activities will be provided to you.
Q: What's for lunch?
A: A cheese pizza lunch will be provided for all participants. If you'd like to pack yourself an extra snack or two for throughout the day that's fine. Water fountains are available, but you might want to consider bringing a refillable waterbottle. IF you have dietary restrictions that make cheese pizza unsuitable for you, please pack and bring your own lunch from home!
