’Tis the Season for Heartfelt Giving!
We are delighted to introduce our festive Rag Trees and charming Rag Wreaths—a beautiful blend of creativity, craftsmanship, and the heartwarming stories of the students who created them. Each piece is a reflection of the extraordinary talents within our Interactions Program, and every bid brings us closer to our fundraising goal of $900.
These art pieces were truly a labour of love. Crafted with patience, focus, and dedication, they showcase the fine motor skills, perseverance, and imaginative spirit of our remarkable students, supported by our caring staff. No two pieces are alike—each one is a one-of-a-kind creation infused with care, effort, and creativity.
With a limited number available, this is your chance to bring home a piece of artwork that symbolizes determination, joy, and hope. Even more meaningful, each auction item connects directly to the student who made it—you’ll have the privilege of knowing the name and face behind the piece you’re bidding on.
Your generosity directly supports our Interactions classroom, helping provide enriched learning experiences both inside and outside the school. Every dollar raised contributes to a nurturing, inclusive, and empowering environment where our students can flourish, grow, and reach their fullest potential.
Bid now to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our exceptional students. Your support not only brightens your home with a beautiful piece of art—it also brightens the future of the children who created it.

Welcome to the Nellie Carlson School Interactions Program!
Our Interactions classes are home to 18 incredible and talented students with diverse learning needs, including Aliza, Anthony, Austin, Brody, Ekene, Eline, Hendrix, Jananya, Otis, Prince, Romel, and Sidney. They are supported each day by our five dedicated Educational Assistants—Ms. B, Ms. Lisa, Miss Olivia, Ms. D, and Mrs. S—and by our passionate teachers, Mrs. Lyons and Ms. Thiel.
In our vibrant and joyful classroom, learning happens in every corner. From literacy and numeracy to fine and gross motor development, communication skills, and meaningful relationships, our students grow through curiosity, resilience, laughter, and connection. We celebrate every step forward—big or small—and we can’t wait to share this year’s Winter Artpieces, including the beloved Rag Trees that were such a hit last year!
This holiday season, we are aiming to raise $900. These funds will support invaluable learning experiences both inside and outside the classroom, helping us continue to build an inclusive community where every student is supported, empowered, and able to shine.
