Welcome to the online portfolio of Kevin Egli. I have been teaching in Edmonton for over thirteen years, after originally coming from Barrie, Ontario where I completed a Bachelor of Arts in History at Laurentian University. I later completed my after-degree Bachelor of Education at Concordia University of Edmonton.
Outside of school, I’m a husband and a father of two boys, and that shapes how I approach teaching every day. I care deeply about helping students grow, not just academically, but as individuals.
In my classroom, I focus on building a supportive environment where students feel heard, challenged, and encouraged to take responsibility for their learning. Topics like citizenship and accountability are central to my teaching, and I aim to help students become thoughtful, capable members of their community.
My guiding principles are simple: show empathy and show persistence.
I’ve been responsible for all aspects of running a Foods program, including equipment setup, lesson planning, grocery purchasing, and maintaining a safe and organized kitchen space for students.

I’ve always enjoyed storytelling through video and digital media. After more than 25 years of making videos, it’s a skill I like bringing into schools whenever possible. Whether it’s helping with school-wide projects, running announcements, or teaching students the basics of digital illustration and video production, I enjoy giving students a chance to create and share their work.
