The Edmonton Public Schools Student AI Conference is not just designed for students with technical proficiency in computing sciences. This is an exciting conference for ALL students interested in the field of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and its real-world applications whether they are beginner, intermediate, or advanced in their understanding of AI.
There is limited capacity for this event, and Division high schools have each been allocated a number of seats based on student population.
Please consider selecting students who are self-motivated learners and have an interest in the field of AI and adjacent fields such as Engineering, Neurotechnology, Business, Education, Government, Social Media, and more.
Please note that local media outlets will be present at this event. Students invited to the event will be representing not just your school, but Edmonton Public Schools as a whole. Students registering will be asked to ensure their FOIP Consent Form is completed.
Only high school students (Grades 10, 11, 12+) in Edmonton Public Schools are eligible to attend this event.
Students interested in attending are encouraged to speak to administration at their school, or a school counsellor. Please note, a limited number of spots are available for each school.
A registration form has been sent to the Administration of all qualifying schools. Please contact your school's administration if you are interested in recommending students to participate in this event.
Students are asked to bring their own device or a fully charged school Chromebook.
Students are expected to stay on the premises of the conference centre during the duration of the event.
Teacher supervisors are responsible for supervising the students for the duration of the event.
Schools and students will be responsible for arranging their own transportation.
