The EPS eSports Steering Committee exists to create an inclusive, engaging video game opportunity for students. This event, in turn, intends to provide students an opportunity to develop competencies such as teamwork, leadership, and self-confidence. In addition, members of the school community can tune in to support their team!

BugBoy2080 - Bessie Nichols
BugBoy2080 deserves to be MVP for his hard work helping establish the eNighthawks eSports at Bessie Nichols School during its first year of play, and for unifying his teammates during practices and during competition. BugBoy2080 has stepped up to the role of Captain, which has required he balance his academics and other commitments while coordinating extra practice sessions with his peers. He has demonstrated superb sportsmanship throughout his play, ensuring that the tone of competition is friendly and inviting to newcomers to the game, regardless of whether the team has won or lost. (No matter how hard we may be getting ‘punched in the face’, BugBoy2080 is always the calm center of a very excitable young team.) It is also notable that BugBoy2080 has done all of this while in grade eight and as one of the younger players on our team. We at Bessie Nichols School are very proud of BugBoy2080’s hard work, and we look forward to seeing him continue to help build and establish eSports in Edmonton schools.
Asha Bot - Centre High 1
Asha Bot was chosen to be a caster, but we lost a player the day before the tourney started. He dropped being a caster (which he preferred), went to the tourney organizers himself and asked to to be subbed in. He has shown initiative and leadership everyday leading up to the tourney.
wyattgub - Westmount
wyattgub demonstrated exemplary sportsmanship, commitment, and coachability.
