We have been working on writing really solid sentences with a lot of details. We are now going to take it to the next step and put those sentences together into a paragraph. The key to a well written paragraph is a focused topic sentence (where you introduce what you will be talking about) and really effective transition words that LINK your sentences together. For your paragraph, you will be teaching us any skill you know how to do. Think simple. You could teach us how to ride a bike, turn on the tv, or cook a pancake. Anything you want, but make sure you break it down into really simple, detailed steps. Pretend like you are teaching a 5 year old how to do it, be specific and assume they know nothing.
So here are the rules of your paragraph:
You must use a topic sentence to introduce what you will be teaching us.
You can not start any sentence with BECAUSE, AND, or BUT.
That means you can use those words in your paragraph, but you CANNOT start a sentence with it.
You must use each of one of these sentence starters at least once (List to right).
HINT- Cross out each word as you use it, so you know which ones you still have left.
