Source Analysis: Political Cartoons

Now that we have a better idea of how to find the meaning in political cartoons and to understand what they are saying, we are going to start putting our responses into really solid, well explained paragraphs.

In this activity, you will discuss the main ISSUE and PERSPECTIVE of the artist in each source, then practice writing very clear, direct introductory sentences. Starting our writing can be challenging, if we can continue to learn effective ways to start our sentences and paragraphs, our writing will be much stronger.
