What lessons did you learn as an athlete that have served you well in your professional career?
"I've learned that often the only thing holding me back is my own self doubt. Once I decide I want it badly enough, it's a matter of chasing it down with everything I've got.
Being a “try hard” is a good thing! I've learned to celebrate my success and the success of others around me - it’s more fun and more worth it when everyone rises together. "
If you could share one message or memory with current Titans what would it be?
"For those who feel like they’re missing their chance right now during Covid - there’s always time to grow and reinvent yourself! Your sport experience up until now has shaped you and will continue to open up opportunities for you in and out of sport."
Your favourite memory as a Titan?
"I played a lot of sports at Ainlay, but a favourite Titan memory would probably be the dodgeball tournaments. I played on a team each year and the crowds that showed up at lunchtime were as big as the TVT and Tri Prov crowds. Ever since grade 10 my best friend and I were determined to win, and when grade 12 came, our team made it happen! Those tournaments were always so fun and hilarious - It’s a hard one to forget."
Anything else you would like to share?
"I'm really thankful for my experience on the junior volleyball team for two years! Our team was so close knit; we had a lot of fun and developed a lot as a team. Coach Patti was also an incredible coach and a very supportive role for me on and off the court."
