The elementary school years set the tone for developing the knowledge, attitudes and skills necessary for children to become healthy, competent and confident learners. Early identification and intervention of children’s academic and social/emotional needs help to remove barriers to learning and increase academic achievement.

As an elementary school counselor, I work with students by providing individual and small group counseling, classroom guidance lessons, and consultation/referral, in an effort to help remove these barriers and encourage students to reach their full potential. Some specific areas that may be addressed in counseling include academic motivation, behavioral difficulties, social skills, family changes, and self-esteem. I also work very closely with parents, teachers, school staff and the community in an effort to help students achieve academic, social, and personal success and to promote a positive school climate for all. I also serve as the school's anti-bullying specialist.

Please feel free to contact me by phone or email with any questions or concerns!
