We would like to invite you to participate in our pumpkin patch family literacy project. This fun assignment is a great way to enjoy a good book with your family!
**Participation is voluntary **
Complete the Pumpkin Project in 4 easy steps
Complete the Pumpkin Project in 4 easy steps
1. Select a book and read it together.
----Focus your discussion on the characters in the story.
2. Help your child complete the pumpkin information sheet.
----These are available by clicking on this link , with the teachers or in the front office
3. Decorate a pumpkin like the main character in the book
-----You can use anything you have at home (paint, permanent maker, yarn, sequins, construction paper, etc)
4. Bring the pumpkin and Storybook Pumpkin Patch Sheet between Monday, Oct 27th through Oct. 31st.
Pumpkins will be displayed in front of the classrooms.
On Friday Oct. 31st, the students with the top 2 pumpkins in each grade level will get a new book and a pencil.
Pumpkins will need to be taken home on Oct. 31st.
Please DON'T cut or carve the pumpkin.

Queremos invitarlos a que pariticipen en nuestro huerto de calabazas familiar con un enfoque en literatura. Esta es una manera divertida de disfrutar un libro en familia!
**La participation es voluntaria**
Completen este Proyecto de Calabaza con 4 pasos sencillos
1. Seleccionen un libro y leanlo juntos.
-----Enfoquense y platiquen sobre los personajes del libro.
2. Ayuden a sus hijos a llenar la hoja de información sobre la calabaza.
----Esta hoja esta disponible seguiendo este link, con los maestros, o en la oficina.
3. Decoren la calabaza como el personaje principal del libro.
-----Pueden utilizar cualquier cosa que tengan en casa. (pintura, marcadores, estambre, lentejuelas, etc.)
4. Traigan la calabaza y la Hoja de información de la calabaza la semana del 27 de octubre al 31 de octubre.
Las calabazas se van a exhibir en frente de los salones.
El viernes 31 de octubre, los alumnos con las 2 mejores calabazas en cada grado, recibirán un libro nuevo y un lapiz.
Las calabazas regresan a casa el 31 de octubre.
Favor de NO cortar o tallar la calabaza.
