The NCAA will look at 16 courses for each eligible student. The best practice would be to have an additional one or two courses completed by the student in case a course is thrown out for any reason.
To complete a course for NCAA approval, the student must:
Not be exempt from any lesson, assignments, quizzes or tests within the course.
Have a very limited number of resets on lessons, quizzes, and tests.
Have spent adequate time on task for "learning" the course material- meaning the student did not complete the entire semester in two days.
Work in the course consistently and complete the course timely- meaning the student does not have long breaks from the course.
Students must complete 10 of the 16 required courses by the close of their junior year.
For High School Courses taken in MS (ex Algebra 1) student needs to make sure that course is on their HS Transcript otherwise it won't be counted
Here is the list of courses for you keep track of your student's progress.
This is a checkbox list with multiple tabs along the bottom. Please make a copy of this for each NCAA student.
