THE MONOMYTH
Technique
"Goldilocks and the Three Bears" contains elements of the monomyth, also referred to as the hero's journey. In the story, Goldilocks is the central character who embarks on a quest when she sneaks into the bears' home. She encounters challenges and obstacles in the form of the bears' belongings and the bears themselves when they return to their home. Goldilocks transforms when she realises her mistakes and the repercussions of her actions. She becomes aware of respecting the property of others and following rules. Her return to her home signifies the conclusion of her journey.
