First of all, I am grateful to Allah S.W.T for his permission and grace, I was allowed to give a welcome note on the website of  Language Department, Institute Pendidikan Guru Kampus Perempuan Melayu, Melaka. 

Language Department vision is to become an excellent Centre for Languages Teaching and Training Centre. The mission, in particular, is to educate teacher trainees, skilled professionals and intellectuals through the application of soft skills in teaching and learning to produce students and teachers who are balanced in physical, emotional, spiritual, intellectual and social aspects as well as creative and innovative.

At present, the department offers Teaching English as a Second Language courses tailoring for students majoring in TESL.  It also offers compulsory elective and elective courses for foundation (PPISMP) program for non-TESL students and team-teaching courses for Early Childhood Education program (PAKK).  In addition, the department also offers English Proficiency courses for Program Diploma Perguruan Malaysia (PDPM). Furthermore,  the department also conducts Professional Development courses and workshops  among staff and students.
