Noah Pligge (Director) - Mr. Pligge is incredibly excited to present TRAP, a show about an audience trapped in a theater, which, coincidentally, is also what happens when you tell high school actors that rehearsal will only take 15 minutes. Directing this production has been a wild ride filled with plot twists, questionable decisions, and the occasional existential crisis (mostly their own.) Through it all, the cast and crew have worked hard to bring this wonderfully bizarre story to life, proving that theater is equal parts creativity, collaboration, and pretending everything is fine when absolutely nothing is going according to plan. Mr. Pligge graduated from DePaul University and is currently teaching music and theatre at Regina Dominican High School. Mr. Pligge had the to be Vocal Director for the 2025 All-State production of The Prom, as well as the 2026 All-State production of Newsies. When he’s not working, he enjoys spending time with his nieces and nephews, reading a good book, and singing a tune or two. He would like to thank the cast, crew, and staff for their dedication, the families for their support, and everyone who helped make this production possible. He would also like to thank coffee, for obvious reasons. Enjoy the show, and remember: if anything seems strange tonight, it’s probably intentional. Probably. And as always, he would like to thank his mommy.
Grant McEachern (Producer/Tech) – TRAP will be Mr. McEachern’s fourteenth show at EPHS. Mr. McEachern holds a Bachelor's of Music Education in Vocal Music Education K-12 from Bethel University in St. Paul, MN and is currently the choir, guitar, and music production teacher at EPHS. Mr. McEachern enjoys collecting new and unique musical instruments and his current collection has about 25 instruments including a Civil War era banjo, a stumpf fiddle, a silver valve trombone, a diatonic tombo accordion, and a didgeridoo. He is supported in this endeavor by his wife, Krissi (Filament Theatre), who often lends her much more extensive theatrical experience to his aid, and by his extraordinarily cute, extraordinarily rambunctious three-year-old daughter, Finley.
Mark Moroney (Scenic Design) – Trap is Mr. Moroney’s third show at EPHS. He is a part of the art department at the high school and is currently teaching Introduction to Art, Painting and Drawing. Mr. Moroney received his undergraduate degree from Brandeis University and holds an MFA from Columbia College Chicago. In between his studies he was part of the Peace Corps as an environmental action volunteer in Benin, West Africa. There is where he learned to improvise and ascertained many of his unusual but effective building techniques. In his free time he likes to…wait, he has no free time he is always either in the theater or on the soccer field after school - and he loves every minute of it. Mr. Moroney would like to thank his family for all their support and their willingness to humour him when he needs it (a lot). He would also like to wish the cast and crew (the best) good luck during the performances of Trap.
Susan Schultz (Costume Designer) – Susan is excited to be working on her 52nd production at EPHS. This presentation of Trap is challenging by having minimal set and costumes leaving the images to be created by the actors for the audience to follow the story. Small touches will represent the characters in the different time periods and their roles to help in awakening our imagination. She would like to thank all that helped with the staging of this play, especially the cast, crew and production staff.
