My name is Jordan! I’m a teacher’s aide for Miss Malizzio and Miss Feiereisel’s 5th grade classrooms. Ever since I was a little girl, I was always fascinated by Frank Lloyd Wright’s architecture and design style. Because of my love of Frank Lloyd Wright, craftsman-, arts and crafts-, and mission-style architecture, I decided to visit Fallingwater, one of the houses that he built near Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Unfortunately, we were not allowed to take pictures inside of Fallingwater, just outside. Any pictures that you see are from the inside of another of his houses, the Robie House, here in a neighborhood of Chicago, Hyde Park. On this vacation, I also stopped to visit the Andy Warhol Museum in Pittsburgh, a museum that is completely dedicated to the pop art of Andy Warhol and his various other works. All in all, it was a wonderful vacation! If you are interested in seeing more of Frank Lloyd Wright’s architecture, his home, studio, and many other homes he designed are in Oak Park! If you are interested in seeing more work by Andy Warhol, the Art Institute of Chicago has some of his art on display!
