East Pennsboro Reading Specialists/Literacy Coaches-
*Coleen Hilbish- Masters in Reading (2010) from Cabrini College and a B.S. in Elementary Education (2000) from Penn State University. Mrs. Hilbish taught first grade for 13 years and third grade for 4 years at East Pennsboro Elementary. She joined the reading team in December of 2019. She is the Title 1 Reading Teacher for Kindergarten, third grade, and fourth grade and provides WIN support for first grade, second grade, and fifth grade.
*Ginger Martin- Masters in Reading (2019) from Wilkes University, B. A. in Teacher Education- Elementary focus (2005) Stockton College of NJ, and a B.S. in Human Development and Family Studies (2004) from Penn State University. I started my teaching career in NJ in 2006 where I taught first, third, and fourth grades. When I moved back here to PA, I taught one of year of kindergarten and then moved to a first grade teacher. I taught first grade for 11 years, which is where I discovered my love for teaching students to be successful readers. I joined EPE’s specialist team at the beginning of the 2021-2022 school year. I provide reading intervention for students in K-5.
*Lindsay Proctor- Masters in Reading (2010) from Penn State University and a B.S. in Early Childhood Education from West Chester University. Mrs. Proctor was a Reading Specialist in The Cumberland Valley School District for 4 years and taught Elementary grades 1-3 for 10 years prior to coming to East Pennsboro Elementary School. She joined the reading team in September of 2019. She provides reading intervention in grades K-4.
West Creek Hills Reading Specialists/Literacy Coaches-
*Kristen Danner - Masters in Literacy Education (2014) and a B.S. in Elementary Education (2009) from Penn State University. Mrs. Danner has worked in collaboration with Penn State Harrisburg and York campuses in their Masters of Literacy and Masters of Teaching and Curriculum program as an adjunct professor. Mrs. Danner taught first grade at East Pennsboro Elementary school for six and a half years prior to transitioning to a Reading Specialist position at West Creek Hills in February of 2016. She is the Title I Reading Teacher for second and third graders and provides WIN support for students in Kindergarten, first grade, fourth grade, and fifth grade.
*Melissa Jones - Masters in Literacy Education (2015) and a B.S. in Elementary Education (2009) from Penn State University. Mrs. Jones is the Co-Director of the Capital Area Writing Project at Penn State Harrisburg- Click to find out more! Mrs. Jones taught First Grade for seven years before transitioning to K-4 Reading Support at West Creek Hills in 2016. She is the Title I Reading Teacher for Kindergarten and First Grade, and supports grades 2-5 in WIN.
*Dana Neast - Masters in Reading (2010) and a B.S. in Elementary Education with a minor in Early Childhood Education (1989) from Shippensburg University of PA. Mrs. Neast taught fourth grade for 4 years, first grade for 5 years, and third grade for 10 years in the Steelton-Highspire School District before becoming a Reading Specialist and joining the Reading Department at the East Pennsboro Area School District in January of 2011. She is the Title I Reading Teacher for Grades 4 and 5, and supports grades K-3 in WIN. Mrs. Neast is trained as a Level 1 Fundations Facilitator.
