SOAR is an acronym used to detail expectations for ALL students. Students are expected to adhere to these expectations in all areas of the school building. We reinforce these desired expectations with positive reinforcement.
We have adopted an Olympics-style competition to encourage students to adhere to SOAR expectations. This style of competition is focused on personal accountability, intrinsic motivation, and creating a strong classroom community.
Students receive points for demonstrating SOAR expectations. There will be one classroom winner in each grade level. The homeroom in each grade level with the most points at the end of the quarter will win a coveted Olympic ring! At the end of the school year, the homeroom in each grade level that has collected the most Olympic rings will win a HUGE celebration!
