Welcome back, Cougar Choir! We start October 8!
Time for 25/26 Cougar Choir! Choir is open to all 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students. This year, choir will be divided into 3 sessions: fall, winter, and spring. This is to help encourage attendance, as well as to give your student time to participate in all the other awesome activities available to them!
If your student signs up for a session, they will be expected to attend weekly rehearsals, as well as the cummulative performance.
Fall Session Commitments: Weekly Rehearsal, Veterans Day Assembly, & Holiday Concert on December 18, WW Gym at 5pm,
optional Ten Trails Tree Lighting Event on December 6 at 3pm
Winter Session Commitments: Weekly Rehearsal, MLK Assembly, & All District Choir (date tba)
Spring Session Commitments: Weekly Rehearsal and End of Year Concert on May 21, WW Gym at 5pm
The goals of our choir include:
Choral participation will enrich the quality of our lives and the lives of those for whom we sing.
Singing will help us to develop our presentation skills and our voices in a healthy and confident manner.
Belonging to the choir will foster a cooperative learning environment and friendships based on shared musical experiences.
Expectations include:
Rehearsal Attendance during the school day! Attendance will be taken and is required for performance participation.
Performance Attendance. This is the fun part!
The choir will sing all of Grand Old Flag, and with their grade level on the medley!
The Choir will also sing Sea to Shining Sea at this assembly!

Silent Night, Jingle Bell Rock, My Favorite Things, Rocking Around the Christmas Tree, White Christmas, Let It Snow, Underneath The Tree
Performed in German and English // This is also one of our songs for the Tree Lighting, with the other two choirs!
Will be sung with some two part harmonies!
Will be sung as the concert finale and with two part echoes!
We'll be using this to practice key changes!
The Choir will sing We Shall Overcome at the Spirit Assembly at the end of February!
