Schoology for Students

Signing in to Schoology

  • Go to enterprisecity.schoology.com (It should direct you to a Google Sign-in, not a Schoology page.)

  • Sign in using your school email address and password.

-School email is your S#@enterprisestudents.net

-Password is your first two initials of your first name, first two initials of your last name, birthday month in two digits, day of birthday in digits.

Ex: John Doe has a birthday of Jan. 7th

Viewing your courses

Your course are the classes you are part of.

You can view them by clicking 'Courses' at the top in the blue bar.

Click on your class to view your classwork.

Materials

Your course work will be listed under the 'Materials' section.

Updates

Updates are announcements/messages from your teacher. You can view them by clicking the 'Updates' button on the left side of your screen.

Messages

You can message your teacher using the messaging app in Schoology.

When you have a new message in your inbox, the Messages icon on the top menu displays an updated number.

  1. Navigate to your Messages area by clicking the envelope icon on the top menu.

  2. Click the message you'd like to read. New messages have an indicator to the left of the message.

  3. To reply to a message, enter a comment in the Message area, and click Send.

Course Assignments

Assignments require you to make a submission.

To submit a file to an assignment, follow these steps:

  1. In the Assignment, click Submit Assignment.

  2. Use the Add a Comment area for questions and concerns (optional).

  3. Select one of these options:

    • Upload: Select a file from your computer.

    • Create: Create a document on the web using the text editor.

    • Resources: Select a file from your Resources, which can be a Google Doc if you have linked your account.

  4. Click Submit to finish.

Assessments

Assessments are a type of graded material used by instructors to evaluate their students' comprehension and readiness.


To take an Assessment from your browser:

  1. Click on the name of the assessment.

  2. Click Start Attempt.

  3. Answer the questions appropriately.

  4. Click Review to review your answers.

  5. Click Finish when you have completely reviewed your answers.

  6. Click Yes to submit your assessment attempt. Click No if you need to continue a review of your attempt.


Tests/Quizzes

Test/Quizzes are a graded material type that instructors use to assess their students' comprehension and readiness.

How do I take a Test/Quiz?

  1. Click on the name of the test/quiz.

  2. Click Start New Attempt.

  3. Answer the questions appropriately.

  4. Click Submit when you are ready to submit the test/quiz to your instructor.


Discussions

Discussions are interactive conversations that allow participation between you, your classmates, and your instructor. Each discussion has threaded commenting, allowing you to respond to any post by another student.

For some courses, instructors may choose to moderate the discussion posts. Moderation requires a course admin to approve each post before it is published. When this feature is turned on, your posts will not be immediately visible to other students.
