Good news is the best news!
As Nashville begins to reopen and we approach the transition to summer, Ensworth Aquatics Masters is adjusting our practice schedule, as well as our COVID Protocol. We even have two new events added to our calendar: The USMS Summer Fitness Challenge (2K Pool or Open Water Swim) and the Chattanooga Rat Race (5K Open Water Swim)!
I am sure you will join me in wishing GOOD LUCK to our teammates competing in Ironman 70.3 Chattanooga this weekend. We will be keeping up with their races on the Ironman app!
And, stay tuned for a team social to honor Coach Christina; the day and time are still to be determined, but expect it to take place in the next week or two.

Starting on Monday, May 24, Masters practices will follow this outlined schedule. As usual, any weekly changes will be noted in Friday's Team News.
Changes to Practice Protocol
The COVID-19 facility protocol is no longer in place for the natatorium. What does this change mean for the Masters' Team?
No Masks Required: Per CDC guidelines, those who have been vaccinated no longer need to wear masks outside or inside. You are encouraged to wear a mask if you are not vaccinated or have any special concerns.
COVID Questionnaire: Ensworth no longer requires that visitors complete the daily COVID questionnaire.
Temperature Checks: Upon arrival, you may proceed directly to the pool deck, rather than wait in the lobby to be checked in.
Goodbye SignUp Genius: the BEST change of all is that there is no need to sign up for practices.

USMS 2021 Swim.com Summer Fitness Challenge (2k)
June 1 - 15, 2021
Looking for a fun challenge this summer? Try the Summer Fitness Challenge, a 2K swim or dryland workout that takes place between June 1-15. The Summer Fitness Challenge can be done in any manner desired: in a pool or open water, straight through, as a member of a relay, or even with fins. If you would like to participate, please reach out to Coach Chris.
Chattanooga Rat Race
June 6, 2021, Chattanooga, TN
An annual and popular 5K Open Water Swim; open to USMS and USA Swimming members. Entries due this Tuesday, May 25th!
2021 USMS Short Course National Championships
July 21-25, 2021, Greensboro, NC
Full meet information is now available! It is important to note that the Order of Events and format are a bit different than usual due to COVID restrictions. You can check out the National Qualifying Times, but remember that you can still enter 3 individual events plus relays without having any qualifying times! If you are interested in going, please let me know, so that I make sure we have enough hotel rooms. All teammates are welcome and encouraged to participate!
