Hello, Masters’ Swimmers!
Short notice, but hope you can make it... our first TEAM SOCIAL in over a year! This Sunday, May 2, at 4:00 pm @Tailgate Brewery in Bellevue! Hope to see many of you there! Click here for more information on the social, as well to learn of an opportunity prior to the gathering.
This is a reminder that this Sunday, May 2nd, is the last day to enter the 2021 TYR Last One Fast One virtual swim meet. If you want to participate, please sign up and let me know; I am happy to time you off the blocks tomorrow in practice!

Teammate Corner
Congrats to all of our teammates who had children (and grandchildren) compete in the Tennessee State High School Championships this past weekend. Some stellar results are listed below!
Elizabeth Heaston's grandson, Jack Flanagan (MBA, Senior), had a double victory in the 50 and 100 Freestyle events.
Margaret and Jamie Mason's son, Jake Mason (Ensworth, Junior) had 2nd place finishes in both the 200 I.M. and 500 Freestyle, and their daughter, Julia Mason (Ensworth, Freshman) had a 7th place finish in the 500 Freestyle and 8th place finish in the 200 Freestyle.
James Johnson (Ensworth, Freshman), Jim Johnson's son, concluded a stellar season highlighted with a 12-second drop in his 100 Breaststroke!
Best of all, our Master's team has found a seasoned announcer for all future masters’ meets that we host; Margaret was phenomenal on the mic all weekend!
Did you miss witnessing Bob Angus swimming 4500 yards in practice on Wednesday for his 45th birthday?

Tennessee Senior Olympics Swimming State Finals
June 29-30, 2021
State Finals Registration is open to all athletes 50 years and older, as District meet participation has been waived for 2021. Click HERE for event information, and HERE to register. The meet will take place nearby at the Williamson County Sports Complex pool, so it is a convenient opportunity to race again! Click HERE to register
2021 USMS Short Course National Championships
July 21-25, 2021, Greensboro, NC

UPDATE: USMS is moving forward with plans for this championship meet. The Order of Events is now posted, and it is important to note that there will be changes in the format of the meet due to COVID restrictions. The National Qualifying Times are also now present on the meet site (although remember that you can still enter 3 individual events plus relays without having any qualifying times!). Full meet information will be available in May. If you are interested, please let me know, so that I make sure we have enough hotel rooms. All teammates are welcome and encouraged to participate.
