Mk9-PRO is a VESC capable of handling up to 200VDC
Warning: Using higher voltage brings new safety hazards. No data is yet available, so use at your own risk!!!
What's new:
Now up to 40S capable
More powerful aux. 12V rail
Better accuracy for voltage readings
Single UART port instead of two, new JST GH 3 pin for 5V lighting
New aluminum case with better accessibility and ergonomics (still backward compatible with MK8 mounting pattern)
Copper aluminum case option for up to 40% increased thermal performance
Roll-to-start feature
N.O. button instead of N.C. (Still possible to use an N,C. button by removing a jumper)
Description:
Low side shunt current sensor
Up to 200V tolerant ~40S capable
150A Battery, 300A Phase (AWG 10 wires limited to ~130A continuous, XT90 is limited to 90A continuous) Note that many others ESC have exaggerated specs! 300A is for guidance only
Optional Bluetooth module or MK9-LCM (mounted separate onto the removable cover)
Accelerometer IMU (LSM6DS3)
Automatic & manual shutdown (hibernation current ~30uA, long press to turn ON & OFF)
DC Input 10 Gauge silicon wire to XT90 Male (use comments box for customized connector)
Phase Output 10 Gauge silicon wire to 5.5mm Female Bullet connectors (use comments box for customized connectors , 12 or 8 gauge)
ADC1 and ADC2 internally equipped with 10k Ohm pull-down resistors
Aux. power outputs:
12V : 1A
3.3V : 2A
5V : 2A
Enclosure dimensions: 58mm x 106mm x 21mm, 225g
Connectivity: JST-GH-1.25mm (CAN, SWD, UART, HALL, ADC, SERVO, 12V), USB-C
Four 4.25mm holes are available to interface with external devices ( CAN, power switch, sensors, HALL) Use preferably with 3.7mm diameter Julet connector (HiGo Mini-B for ebike)
For application that does not require a 30s cell count e.g.: 18S, 20S, 24S, 28S or 40s you can request an Mk9 with different voltage MOSFET, see table below:
Power ON/OFF button: Latching type button is supported, change the setting in VESC-tool->app settings->general->shutdown mode->Always OFF
5 to 10 seconds are needed at startup for the VESC to respond to the button input
Any VESC need precharge! Failure to do so might damage the MK9-PRO, especially at 30s+!
