Lieutenant Colonel Lance Murray
Lieutenant Colonel Murray is the Senior Aerospace Science Instructor at Enid High School. He began teaching JROTC at Elsik High School in Houston in 2011 and moved to Enid High School in 2018. He is married to Kristi (aka "Mrs. Colonel"), and has two children: Kayli (Enid HS class of 2021) and Luke (Enid HS class of 2025).
Lieutenant Colonel Murray was a Distinguished Graduate of the Air Force ROTC program at San Diego State University and was commissioned into the United States Air Force in 1989. Over the next twenty years he served in various assignments, culminating as Chief of Resources and Facilities, 552nd Operations Group, Tinker Air Force Base, Oklahoma, and Mission Crew Commander on the E-3 Airborne Warning and Control Systems aircraft. He is a veteran of Operations DESERT STORM, ALLIED FORCE, SOUTHERN WATCH, NOBLE EAGLE, ENDURING FREEDOM and IRAQI FREEDOM. During his career, Lieutenant Colonel Murray flew over 1800 hours, including 21 combat sorties. His awards include the Meritorious Service Medal with two oak leaf clusters, the Air Medal and the Aerial Achievement Medal.
