Our focus for this unit is to notice pay attention to our surroundings and make predictions about what will happen next to the plants.
Learning Targets:
Week 1: I am learning to notice the needs of plants by performing experiments about different growing conditions.
Week 2: I am learning to record observations of plants growing in our school gardens.
Week 3: I am learning to discover similarities and differences in the needs of humans and plants.
Home Extensions:
Go on a nature walk and talk about the different types of plants you see.
Talk about what parts of a plant you are eating (ex: leaves: spinach, flower- broccoli, stem- celery, root- carrot, seed-pumpkin seeds)
