"Eat, drink, and be merry, for tomorrow we die."
Lyrics

“Eat, drink, be merry, for tomorrow we die.”
She got off the yellow bus and stretched in the sun; entered a quiet arbor and looked up. You know how a leaf looks entirely different when you see the sun shining on it vs. through it? A different sort of gold? She then plucked a leaf and felt a thorough thrill as she wondered when her life would likewise be plucked.
CHORUS
She did not really want to die… But the certainty of her death made the morning air oh-so-sweet, the plucked leaf, the plucked life glow gold.
