Dr. Silberman has over 20 years of experience in automation and robotics. He began his career during his undergraduate studies with a B.S. in electrical engineering in Brazil, following with postgraduate work in robotics in England, and earning a master's degree in mechanical engineering from PUC-Rio and a Ph.D. from Carnegie Mellon University, focusing on mobile field robotics. Throughout his career, Dr. Silberman has contributed to various sectors including educational robotics, NASA-sponsored mobile field robotics, semiconductor automation, biotech, and medical devices. Currently, Dr. Silberman holds a position with a leading global medical device company overseeing operations in Canada, Central America, and Latin America, while teaching robotics courses and overseeing Triton AI at UCSD.
