First Prototype

Testing our first prototype against NIOSH head form for proof of concept.

A straight test suction channel vacuumed to a textured test bed.

The first mask prototype fit to the average face geometry. The blue mask top is SLA 3D printed in resin, and the suction channel is silicone molded with Ecoflex 00-30 Silicone.

A CAD model of the first mask design shaped to fit the average geometry face. As seen on the left, the top connection fits to a vacuum tube and the bottom connection fits to a ventilator tube. On the right, the suction channel that interfaces with the face has slots for the vacuum that connects to the vacuum tube.

The face from the medium sized, average geometry NIOSH head form to be used for testing the fit and seal of mask.
