The clock project provided a stepping stone to fundamental skills that are often used by engineers. The design process of the clock succeeded with CAD programs, such as Fusion360, AutoCAD, and WorkingModel 2D. Manufacturing the clock was done in the fabrication workshop, where having an understanding of how to work the tools and comprehension skills were crucial. To wrap everything up, a comparison was made between analytical predictions and observations with the physical prototype.
Understood the basic interface of Fusion360
Learned how to properly import design onto AutoCAD and prepare for laser cutting
Became comfortable working with mechanical toolsÂ
Stimulate a virtual design with Working Model
Physical model created with Fusion360 and printed out with LaserCAMM
Digital simulation of the clock was done using Working Model 2D
