My design consists of the standard escapement wheel and a pendulum that resembles a rocket engine. The rocket engine was the first thing I thought of because I thought the back and forth movement could represent TVC.
The CAD of the escapement wheel and pendulum was constrained by multiple requirements stemming from limits with the LaserCAMM and simple geometry. The escapement wheel and the top section of the pendulum that are required to interact must be built to specific fixed dimensions. However, the rest of the pendulum was only limited to a set of dimensions and LaserCAMM requirements. Because of the manufacturing method, sharp angles had to be filleted in the design. To ensure that my design was balanced, I used the Center of Mass tool to ensure that the pendulum had a CoG inline with the rotation point.
