Our projects aims to optimize methods of screening cardiomyocytes -- specifically, human induced pluripotent stem cell derived cardiomyocytes with the ACEA Biosciences xCELLigence CardioECR RTCA machine, but with a flexible enough approach for any workflow.
Current methods of screening mechanical and electrical function in cardiomyocytes are of insufficient throughput due to:
Total cost of plates alone for screening a 10,000 compound library, depending on amount of uses per plate. Assumed 6 compounds per plate to account for controls and dilutions.
Cost per well of coating with various substrates. PBS for dilution from stock not included.
